A special two-parter for Christmas featuring one the Rams' greats - Roy McFarland. His association with Derby County began in 1967.
Part One charts Roy’s remarkable relationship with the old Wembley Stadium. From pulling on the England shirt and suffering the agony of injury, to the redemption of scoring in the Charity Shield, Wembley was both a stage of triumph and heartbreak. The story culminates in 1994, when as Derby County manager Roy led the Rams into the play‑off final against Leicester City — only to see promotion slip away. It’s a journey through highs, lows, and the emotional pull of football’s most iconic venue.

S1 E6 - Craig Short

In this episode of Life After the Rams, we sit down with Craig Short, the no-nonsense centre-half who made headlines in 1992 when he became Britain’s most expensive defender—and Derby County’s record signing—at £2.5 million. Turning down Premier League-bound Blackburn Rovers to join a struggling Derby side in the old First Division, Short made a decision that stunned the football world.
But Craig’s story doesn’t end there. In this episode, he also speaks powerfully about his fight against financial abuse in football, as part of the V11 group—a collective of former players and coaches campaigning for justice and accountability after being targeted by fraud.
